JULY SALE 2019

  • Equine Influenza (EI) Controls & Documentation
Requirements for ALL HORSES attending the 2019 Tattersalls July Sale

Please read the instructions listed below carefully, as failure to lodge the correct documentation will result in your Lot(s) being refused entry to Park Paddocks.  Individual Lot requirements are listed in your Tattersalls Online Account under Bloodstock Sales, Lot Documentation.  If you have any doubts regarding procedure for Sale documentation, please consult your veterinary surgeon or contact Liz Clarke in the Bloodstock Department at Tattersalls.

Health certificate templates are available to download from the Tattersalls website at www.tattersalls.com/documentation.php and there is also information on testing intervals and classification of Low and High Risk Lots.

Copy of vaccination page(s) and test results should be uploaded to your Online Account by either yourself or your vet pre-arrival of your Lots at Park Paddocks.  These will be checked and approved pre-Sale by the Bloodstock Department.  There is no need to provide duplicate copies on arrival at the Sales.   Vaccinations are not required for foals of 2019.

  • Compliant EI vaccines consisting of a primary course and booster within NINE calendar months to first day of Sale, recorded in the horse’s passport, as required by the Rules of Racing and signed by a veterinary surgeon. No vaccinations should be given within the 7 days prior to arrival at Park Paddocks.  Details of the BHA requirements can be found on the BHA website: www.britishhorseracing.com

Horses (including foals at foot) travelling to Tattersalls from OUTSIDE Great Britain require:

  • PCR Form confirming a negative result for EI from a nasopharyngeal swab taken during the 96 hours prior to the horse’s arrival at Park Paddocks:

Vendors from Ireland:

The Irish Equine Centre (IEC) require a minimum of 2 full days, i.e., delivery before 10am on the day of submission, to process the samples, perform the test and report the results.  It is strongly advised that Vendors have samples collected by their Vet 96 hours prior to the proposed arrival date of their Lots.  The swabs should be marked “Tattersalls Newmarket Urgent” and delivered promptly to the IEC.  A written request by the Vet, to be included with the swabs, should state that the results are emailed to liz.clarke@tattersalls.com
